Q: What are your holiday pickup dates?

A: The guys at American Refuse will take Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day off. If your pick up day is on either of these Fridays the guys will pick up Saturday the 26th and Saturday the 2nd on both of these days. 

Q: Do you provide a toter for garbage pickup? 

A: We provide each residence one 95 gallon toter for no charge. If you have been a customer and do not have one of these call the office and we can get you one for no charge! 

Q: What is considered yardwaste? 

A: Leaves, grass and pine needles 

Q: What kind of container does yardwaste have to be in?

A: Brown paper bags or a garbage can. No plastic bags allowed. 

Q: Do you provide a yardwaste container? 

A: Yes! If you use the full season yardwaste program we provide a 95 gallon toter at no additional charge. 

Q: What day is yard waste picked up? 

A: Wednesday mornings 

Q: What months does yardwaste have to be separated from regular garbage?

A: April 1st through November 30th 

Q: What day is recycling picked up? 

A: Same day as your garbage

Q: Do you recycle glass?

A: Yes we do. Just throw any glass in the recycling container along with your other recyclables. No need to sort! 

Q: Can you haul bigger items such as an appliance, couch or mattress? 

A: Yes! These items are picked up on the same day as your regular garbage. Just call the office to schedule your bulk item to be picked up. There may be an additional fee for your item.

Q: Is there a cancellation fee if I switch to a different hauler?

A: Any account not canceled via phone call will be charged a $50 cancellation fee.
